Charleston Coffee Cup Recap + Our Winning Coffee

Guess who brought award-winning coffee to the 5th annual Charleston Coffee Cup? Yes, it’s true, our coffee Black Pearl, was a top three finisher at this event, held Oct. 28 in downtown Charleston at the Memminger Auditorium. Black Pearl was the only coffee from a Charleston roaster to make the finals.

This year was our 3rd time participating in the event. We’ve won awards in previous years as well. We took home the 2016 award for Best Coffee and the 2015 award for People’s Choice.  We’re so happy to add another award-winning coffee to our repertoire.

This year, we chose to serve coffees that honored many different palates. For those who love traditional coffee blends, dark and smooth with full body, we served our Twenty Strong. For those coffee thrill seekers, our brewed Strawberry Fields and Black Pearl as pour overs. We also debuted our Cold Brew on tap and served a Cold Brew Cocktail. The cocktail, No More Mr. Nice Chai mixed cold brew and Cannon Distillery’s Chai Vodka.

Our team loved connecting with so many people at the event! At the request of attendees, Black Pearl is now up on our website for purchase. This coffee, sourced from Finca Sabinilla in Costa Rica, was a fan favorite as well with its juicy mouth feel and citrus notes. You may also order it locally for pick up if you are in Charleston.

We look forward to next year’s event!
